This cat shall be loved and wanted for the rest of its life (which could be from 12 to 20 years), and shall be part of your family and stay with you through moves and other life changes.

If for some reason this cat cannot be kept with you, it shall be returned to the PACIFIC ANIMAL FOUNDATION, and given nowhere else, unless PAF is contacted and agrees in writing to the new home.

This cat shall have access to socializing and outdoors in a safe yard; it shall not be kept confined indoors full-time.

This cat shall be neutered and its ear tattooed. It shall NEVER be declawed.

At all times, this cat shall wear a breakaway non-elastic collar with your telephone number on it.

The health of this cat shall always be maintained with the same consideration as you would give any other member of the family.

Internal or External Parasites: Regular grooming should be done with a flea comb to rid the cat of fleas and keep its coat from matting – and it will love the attention! Topical spray products or flea collars should NOT be used as they can make the cat sick and be detrimental to the cat's long-term health. If the cat has any internal parasites, the least toxic and safest approach should always be taken. Your veterinarian can advise you about the safest method for your cat.
