CATS and DOGS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

Angel  (see Angel)
Sad story.  Angel's elderly owner suffered from Alzheimer's and needed to go to a long term care facility.  Angel is a sweet, gentle 4 yr. old spayed, tortoiseshell-coloured cat.  Her orange/brown fur is soft and she keeps it very clean.  She is declawed so would be best as the only animal in a home and she isn't used to children so an adult-only home would suit her fine.   She is chatty and affectionate and loves to "help" out with your chores.

Tigger and Cleo  (see Tigger and Cleo) ADOPTED

This adorable brother/sister pair were abandoned - just left behind after a move.  They are very bonded so need to be adopted as a pair or they would probably miss each other desperately.   Tigger is a DSH neutered male, 4-yr-old orange tabby.  Cleo is a DSH spayed female, 4-yr-old tortoiseshell.  Tigger is adventurous and bold with a soft, little kitty voice, whereas Cleo is a dainty little lady, with a surprisingly strong personality coupled with a deep, haunting voice. They are both very affectionate towards those they love. They would prefer an indoor/outdoor home together.  If you would like more information on this pair, please call 604-725-0115

Buttercup  (see Buttercup)  ADOPTED !
Showed up in the backyard of an elderly gentleman who started to feed her and she stayed.  She made an old galvanized bucket with carpet her home and lived outside.  The elderly gentleman recently passed away and neighbours started feeding her but knew she needed a new home.  She was brought to PAF last week (Mar 17th/09) and is now in a foster home.  She surprised us when we found out she was about 11 yrs. old because she looks much younger.  She has been vet examined and her bloodwork is excellent.  She will probably have a dental in the next week and then will be ready for a new home.  Buttercup is a beautiful, medium fur calico.  Probably she would like a quieter home (no kids or dogs).  She loves being brushed.  Call us if you would like to enquire about Buttercup

Chloe  (see Chloe)  ADOPTED !
She's an adorable orange and white spayed female, about 3 years old.  She was abandoned and even put outside in this winter's cold.  Luckily she had a wonderful young lady come to her rescue and Chloe is now spayed, vaccinated and dewormed.  She is very kid friendly and even seems fine with other cats.  Please call us if you would like more information.

Howie - dog  (see Howie)  ADOPTED !
A rescued boy, he's a medium sized, mixed breed dog about 60 pounds.  Howie is always cheerful and active; full of fun.  Needs someone at home for lots of walks and playtime (lays quietly, too, if you are busy !)   Good companion and loyal shadow.  Favourite things??  Let's see  . . . car rides and hikes and greeting new people and playtime - just an all round lovely dog!  Please call 604-988-1260 if you would like more information on Howie.

Gustav and Chica  (see Gustav and Chica)  ADOPTED TOGETHER !
They are adorable and very bonded. They aren't brother and sister but are only about a week apart in age and have been together for several months now.  We are looking for a home together for them because they eat, sleep and play together and would be lost if separated.  Gustav is a handsome orange (neutered) tabby and Chica is a spectacular looking female (spayed) calico.  Both are around 5 months old.  Gustav is very outgoing and adventurous; Chica is sweet and shy when meeting new people but loves cuddles.  Both were rescued from the streets in North Vancouver.  These two would be best suited to an adult only home.  They have been with a cocker spaniel in their foster home so likely ok with a dog.  Please call us if you would like more information.
FOUR OF A KIND -   The following 4 cats were left behind in a rental house when their mom passed away unexpectedly.  There was no family available to care for them so they were locked out of the house and simply left behind.  These cats are not being adopted through Pacific Animal Foundation but are being adopted out by their rescuers and PAF is helping by putting their photos and bios on our website.  The cats are likely middle-aged so have grown out of kittenish antics and, although they are friendly and playful, they are also well behaved cats who would enjoy being indoor/outdoor cats after they have bonded to their new homes. Each cat has recently had a complete vet check-up.

Snuggles and Peaches  (see Snuggles and Peaches)  ADOPTED !
Snuggles, well, is "snuggly".  He has a very good purr box and likes to cuddle.  He is very attached to Peaches, a pastel peach coloured girl.  We'd like to see this handsome boy and pretty girl, best friends, stay together.  If you have room in your heart and home for this pair, please call Joanne at 604-922-4551

Pumpkin and Poise   (see Pumpkin and Poise) still need a home
Pumpkin is a ginger boy, a typical "Morris" cat.  Calm and dignified, friendly and gentle with his siblings.  His good motor starts easily.  Poise is a demure and dainty girl.  Sweet and shy and then affectionate.  Loves to be petted.  They have grown up together and we hope they can stay together.   If you are looking for a calm, loving pair of cats, please call 604-987-9015.

Our list is constantly being updated - call us for more information!

BUNNIES AND GUINEA PIGS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION:

There are a number of dwarf rabbits in the Greater Vancouver area that need loving homes with people familiar with bunny behavior.  Many of these rabbits have come from less than ideal situations.  Therefore, they need quiet homes with no young children. (Go to Top)
