CATS and DOGS AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

We have kittens needing homes - please phone us  604-986-8124 for information

Nala  (see Nala)
Such a dear wee girl - very petite !  She is every inch a lady - sweet, affectionate and gentle.  She doesn't look or act it but she is 10 years "young".  She is very healthy - recently had a blood test at the vet along with a total exam and she is just fine.  She has the best (cleanest) teeth you could imagine - darn good for a 10 yr. old cat - no need to even do a dental !  PAF just rescued Nala for the second time.  She came into our rescue network 9 years ago, was spayed and adopted out to a lovely young woman.  Tragedy happened and the young woman passed away and Nala ended up at the Delta Animal Shelter.  Luckily, Nala's tattoo in her ear linked her to PAF and we were called.  Nala is now in a North Vancouver foster home and eagerly awaiting a new loving home.  She doesn't like other cats but loves going outdoors so we need a home with outdoor access for her.

Charlie   (see Charlie)

He's only 11 months old !  Charlie is black and white; very sweet and playful.  Loves to be with people.  He's neutered, vaccinated and tattooed.  If you can give Charlie a loving home please contact Carol at 604-535-1481 or at briancarol@shaw.ca

  Calpurnia  (see Calpurnia)

Calpurnia was abandoned in the interior of B.C. when her owner moved away. She was left outside with no one to feed her. Fortunately a kind neighbour became aware of her situation and brought her into rescue. We think Calpurnia is about one or two years old. She has now been spayed, tattooed, dematted, and dewormed, and is in a foster home.  Calpurnia loves people, and loves to chat and purr and be the center of attention. She is not keen on other cats so we are looking for a home for her with no other cats.  Calpurnia is a very smart little cat (weighs less than 6 lbs) who thrives on one-on-one contact with people. She would be best suited to a quiet home with no children. A dog would likely be okay, if older and mellow, and not interested in cats. Calpurnia is being fostered in North Vancouver, and we would prefer to find her a home on the North Shore.  If you can help Calpurnia, please email Jennifer at noellafruitella@shaw.ca

Howie - dog  (see Howie)
A rescued boy, he's a medium sized, mixed breed dog about 60 pounds.  Howie is always cheerful and active; full of fun.  Needs someone at home for lots of walks and playtime (lays quietly, too, if you are busy !)   Good companion and loyal shadow.  Favourite things??  Let's see  . . . car rides and hikes and greeting new people and playtime - just an all round lovely dog!  Please call 604-988-1260 if you would like more information on Howie.

Squeak - (special needs kitty)   (see Squeak)   ADOPTED !
Squeak needs our help to find a home - a really, special caring person who can give him lots of love and attention.  This amazing little guy was born in a feral colony and happily lived there for nearly 8 years, becoming friendly with all his caregivers.  Recently his caregivers noticed he was having trouble with his back legs and moved him into a house.  He seemed to know he needed a safe place and has happily adjusted to being indoors.  Tests and xrays have been done but there isn't a definitive answer on why his legs don't work properly.  The vet believes there's a chance he will be able to walk properly again.  He can get around and use the litter box without any trouble but can't jump or climb stairs.  The tests also revealed that Squeak is FIV+ but he has no symptoms and may never actually get the disease.  He could live a long life.  Squeak is good natured, loves to be brushed and is extremely clean.  Some vet bill support through PAF might be able to be arranged if he needs it.  Please call if you would like more information.

Seamus   (pronounced "Shaymus")  ( see Seamus)  STAYING WITH HIS FAMILY !
This is one handsome cat !  Seamus is a long-haired dark brown "smoke" tabby which means his outer coat colour is a rich, sable brown colour BUT . . . when you part his fur near his body, his fur is all white !  You can catch a glimpse of that white fur when he's walking, playing or curled up and it gives him such a spectacular look.  He also has a very interesting look to his face - pointy ears and gorgeous yellow eyes - reminiscent of his magnificent feline ancestry.   This friendly little 8 year old boy needs a single cat home with outdoor access as he isn't fitting in well with his current family of another cat and a dog.  Seamus is neutered and in good health.
FOUR OF A KIND -   The following 4 cats were left behind in a rental house when their mom passed away unexpectedly.  There was no family available to care for them so they were locked out of the house and simply left behind.  These cats are not being adopted through Pacific Animal Foundation but are being adopted out by their rescuers and PAF is helping by putting their photos and bios on our website.  The cats are likely middle-aged so have grown out of kittenish antics and, although they are friendly and playful, they are also well behaved cats who would enjoy being indoor/outdoor cats after they have bonded to their new homes. Each cat has recently had a complete vet check-up.  If you would like more information on these 4, please call Joanne at 604-922-4551.

Snuggles and Peaches  (see Snuggles and Peaches)  ADOPTED !
Snuggles, well, is "snuggly".  He has a very good purr box and likes to cuddle.  He is very attached to Peaches, a pastel peach coloured girl.  We'd like to see this handsome boy and pretty girl, best friends, stay together.  If you have room in your heart and home for this pair, please call Joanne at 604-922-4551

Pumpkin and Poise   (see Pumpkin and Poise) still need a home
Pumpkin is a ginger boy, a typical "Morris" cat.  Calm and dignified, friendly and gentle with his siblings.  His good motor starts easily.  Poise is a demure and dainty girl.  Sweet and shy and then affectionate.  Loves to be petted.  They have grown up together and we hope they can stay together.   If you are looking for a calm, loving pair of cats, please call Joanne at 604-987-9015.

Phillip and PingPong  (see Phillip and PingPong)  ADOPTED TOGETHER !
These two little brothers need a home together.  They are nearly 16 weeks old and are the best of pals.  They were living under some buildings on Lonsdale Avenue when we rescued them.  They've now been vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and neutered.  Phillip is the little brown tabby and PingPong is black; both have short fur.  PingPong is more confident and curious and is the leader of the two.  He enjoys being held and playing with his toys.  Phillip is a little shy at first but rubs against you and purrs when he is relaxed.  Because the kittens haven't been around children, we think they would do best adopted into an adult only home with eventual outdoor access.   We hope you will contact us if you can provide a loving home for these two little boys.

Mimi  (see Mimi)  ADOPTED !
Mimi was abandoned.  She is a beautiful girl - long-haired brown tabby with lots of white fur.  She's about 6 yrs. old and needs to be the only animal in a home as she's not particularly fond of other cats in her foster household.  Mimi is spayed and has been to the vet for a recent dental.   This girl is a real character !  She has discovered how to open cupboards with a magnetic hinge and would snoop around to see if anything interested her.  She has also figured out how to push open a louvred door just enough so she can go in and check it out.  She is sweet, affectionate and quiet so probably best in an adult only home.   Please call us if you have room in your home and a little garden for Mimi.  Mimi is a "Manx", meaning she has just a little stub for a tail . . .  she was born that way.

Mickey and Hummer  (see Mickey & Hummer)  ADOPTED TOGETHER !
These dear little brothers need a home together.  They were rescued from Lower Lonsdale where they were living under a building with their mom and siblings.  Little Hummer is fearless and inquisitive . . . he is quite okay with the dog in his foster home.  Mickey is a cuddler and wants attention.  They are now approx. 5 months old and have already been neutered, tattooed, dewormed and defleaed.   They haven't been with children so would probably do best in a home with adults only and we know they would like a garden to play in eventually.  Please call us if you have room in your heart and home for them.

Benji and Bruno  (see Benji and Bruno)  ADOPTED TOGETHER !
Rescued from the North Vancouver waterfront, these two are also little brothers who need a home together.  They are quite bonded and would miss each other if separated.   Talk about energy !  They thunder around after each other chasing balls and a fleece ribbon.  When held, both purr up a storm.  They are about 13 weeks old and have short fur.  Knowing their energy level, we would like to find a home where there will be eventual outdoor access when they have bonded in their new family.  Otherwise . . .  they will be bouncing off the walls - well they may do that anyway.

Brother/Sister Pair  (see Digger and Zoe)   ADOPTED TOGETHER !
These two little ones have bonded and would like to stay together.  Digger has lovely medium fur and has a very dark chocolate - almost black coat.  He also has 4 white paws and white markings on his nose.  His sister, Zoe, is all black with a gorgeous soft coat, like a fuzzy cotton ball.  The pair are nearly 6 months old and have been spayed/neutered  and tattooed recently. They have had shots as well.  Both kittens are playful and curious but haven't been around small children so we think they would do best in an adult only home.  Their foster home has a dog so they probably are fine with other animals.   Because they are energetic, access to a garden after they have bonded with their new family would be wonderful.

Molly  (see Molly)     ADOPTED !
Molly is a 7 year old spayed female grey and white tabby. She is very intelligent, and a little independent, but she would make a lovely companion for an adult only home. She would love to have her own garden to explore, and a quiet home of  her own. For more info on Molly, please either call us at 604-986-8124 or email Jennifer at noellafruitella@shaw.ca

Abigail  (see Abigail) ADOPTED !
She's sweet and gentle-natured so we think she'd do best in an adult only home.  When you stroke her, she rolls around on her back and kneads her paws in the air.  Abigail is about 2 years old and has recently been spayed, vaccinated, tattooed, dewormed and defleaed.  She is a brown tabby with medium length fur which she keeps immaculate.
Chelsea & Gracie  (see Chelsea & Gracie)  ADOPTED TOGETHER !

These little sisters want to stay together.  They are now nearly 6 months old and were rescued from the street.  Their wild mom lived in a backyard and was trying to look after her kittens.  We trapped and fixed mom and she is doing really well.  Chelsea and Gracie have both been spayed, tattooed and vaccinated.  They now just need their own home.  Because they are a bit shy, they would do best in an adult only home and would love to have some outdoor access starting next Spring.  They are very playful and curious.

Caspar and Star  (see Caspar and Star)  ADOPTED TOGETHER !
Absolutely lovely, friendly cats who need to find a new home together.  These two middle-aged cats (Star - 11 yrs. and Caspar - 9 yrs.) need a helping hand so we're hoping to find a loving person to give them a home and a third chance!  They have been "rescued" twice before so we're hoping  . . third time is the lucky charm !  Both have recently been to the vet and have been treated for ear mites and worms.  As well, they each had dental surgery and have fully recovered.  They feel pretty good now that all these things have been done !  They are best friends so need to stay together.  Both come running when you sit down and then they are content to snuggle on your lap quietly.  Caspar is a big guy - about 18 pounds of cuddly warmth and Star is ever the little lady . . . lying daintily with her paws tucked under her, purring up a storm.  They are both very striking with their golden tabby coats and both have tufts on the tips of their ears.  If you have room in your home for these two and a little bit of a garden for them, please contact us.

Our list is constantly being updated - call us for more information!
